As a Director of Content, you will be OUAI’s lead content strategist across the brand’s and its retail partners’ channels. Reporting into the VP of Brand Marketing, you will set the strategic vision of content creation, execution and dissemination for the brand to build brand equity, educate on products and drive engagement for our channels.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Define our brand voice and positioning with engaging, signature content that builds brand loyalty and establishes us as a trailblazer in the digital space
  • Develop and execute OUAI’s global content calendar, aligning with seasonal trends and supporting key brand initiatives
  • Build all content briefs, timelines and execution plans for new product launch campaigns, core product support, sales and education content and retail partner exclusive content
  • Lead the strategy and prioritization of all brand asset creation including video and still assets and be the expert on how to best deploy all assets
  • Work with cross-functional partners (Product, E-Com, Creative, Social) to ensure that all digital content experiences are cohesive and compelling
  • Run creative brainstorm sessions across Brand Marketing / Creative team to develop fresh and engaging content ideas to achieve business objectives
  • Establish any content needs for brand partnership initiatives and lead the execution of all assets from start to finish
  • Enhance our retail partnerships by creating exclusive content that is customized for each of their needs and recommending ways to optimize our existing content for their channels
  • Strategize ways to optimize each piece of content that is shot for web, social, sales and retail partners
  • Be creative in finding cost efficient moments to capture branded content
  • Set KPI’s for different content deliverables, analyze performance and report on learnings each month
  • Explore new technologies across digital, mobile and omni-channel platforms and stay ahead of the curve on relevant trends that may enhance OUAI’s content marketing
  • Manage an annual content budget
  • Manage a team of direct reports


DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 7+ years experience in branding, digital marketing and content creation
  • Expertise in producing and optimizing digital content
  • Experience managing the production of content on a variety of budgets
  • Immense passion for beauty and lifestyle brands
  • A creative storyteller, master of defining brand voice
  • Strong understanding of analytics / monetization of digital content
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, high volume environment with tight deadlines
  • Proven success managing a team
